Mateo Nares
Staying true to an adolescent predilection for departure from convention, Mateo fell serendipitously into software engineering and web site design while performing computational physics research in an undergraduate program sponsored by NASA.
Application development seemed a natural fit.
To the detriment of his eyesight, he has accrued 30+ heavily-caffeinated years of experience in application development (yes, he does count programming in BASIC on his friend's VIC-20). He's done it for brands like Apple, Nike, Gap, Cisco and Nissan.
When he's not busy reading, learning to speak and write in Mandarin, Japanese, French, and Dutch, cheering for his Dodgers or his Raiders, running, playing guitar, doodling, bouldering, or solving the New York Times crossword puzzle, you'll find him training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (black belt under Caio Terra).
